Hi everyone, my name is now Hanzō, named after the noted samurai Hattori Hanzō by a Facebook fan. I am a 2-year-old, red male Shiba Inu. I had a rough couple of years and lived in an unsanitary home with another Shiba where I didn’t go out much. I was in temporary care before coming to the rescue and the nice people said I did really well with other dogs and didn’t even have any accidents, even though in my first home, I had no choice but to potty indoors. I absolutely love people and I will give you my best shaky butt and squinty eyes when you greet me. DC SIR noticed I have very dry fur, and I am missing all my fur on my rear and near my back and tail. Based on the pattern, the vet thinks this has a lot to do with my previous living conditions. Now that I am getting good food and a clean home, I should be in tip-top shape in no time. When I first arrived at Shiba HQ I got to explore the yard on my own. Soon I met all the Shibas and got along great with everyone. When I went inside, I got to meet a couple of kittens and an older cat too. They didn’t mind me at all so I got along great with everyone! I had no issues integrating into the multi-pet home, but my foster parents had to xpen me on my first night, and oh boy, did I hate that when all the other pups were allowed to roam free. So I howled my disapproval for hours! Finally, I went to sleep, and when I got up I had a long drive to the vet to get neutered and have my medical updates.
